Find it in: the Context section of the Profound platform
Context Manager gives Profound one place for everything it knows about you and your brand: your positioning, audience, strategy, and the way you like to work.
The context it holds powers the rest of the platform. AI Marketer draws on it to respond like someone on your team, and Agents and Projects use it to produce work that fits your strategy.
Why your context matters
Without shared context, every AI conversation starts from zero. You re-explain the audience, the voice, and the product line, and the output still reads like it came from a generic model. The knowledge that would fix this already exists in documents, calls, and old chats, but nothing reuses it.
Context Manager extracts durable information from those sources, stores it as knowledge records, and supplies it to AI Marketer, Agents, and Projects when they generate output. You state a preference once and it carries over to later work, so you are not restating it in every conversation.
Key features
Knowledge records that build themselves
Your brand context lives in knowledge records that Profound generates and maintains for you, covering your company, audience, competitors, offerings, strategy, and execution. They are built from your data and your edits, and they shape how AI Marketer and Agents understand your workspace. Find your knowledge records in Brand Context > Generated by Profound.
Identified gaps
When Profound is missing a detail about your brand, it surfaces the gap as a card at the top of the Brand Context tab, tagged to the knowledge record it belongs to. Reviewing a gap starts a short chat where AI Marketer asks you one question at a time and applies your answers immediately.
Source references
Every knowledge record shows its references, section by section and claim by claim. Select References in your knowledge record to see where a piece of context came from. Each paragraph also ends with citation pills that name the sources behind it. Trace any claim about your brand to the document, call, or conversation behind it.
Keeping the knowledge current
Correct any section in the knowledge records, and that correction becomes the known answer: your own edits carry the highest authority of any source. When newer information arrives from a highly trusted source, such as a customer call or an approved Slack conversation, Profound favors the most recent information and updates the record automatically.
Personal memory
Personal Context keeps memories about how you work. Tell Profound anything it should remember, and it personalizes your future chats without mixing your preferences into the shared brand context. Search, add, edit, and remove memories at any time.
Knowledge Bases and Brand Kits
Knowledge Base is a repository of brand documents, webpages, and source materials that Profound uses as a source of truth about your brand. Brand Kits are brand identity profiles that define tone of voice, writing style, positioning, and other brand attributes for content generation.
Learn more about both features in 📄 Knowledge Bases and Brand Kits.
Brand Kits will become part of the Brand Context in Context Manager. If you are starting out with Profound, we recommend focusing on refining your brand voice in your knowledge records.
