Profound for Agencies: Self-Serve Brand & Audit Management

Overview

Agencies use Profound differently from typical business clients. They manage multiple brands (also called “categories”) under a single organization, each requiring unique configurations, environments, and reporting.

Until now, Profound has not supported a self-service mechanism for creating or managing these brand-specific environments. This feature release introduces a dedicated self-serve portal for agencies, empowering them to create and manage both pitch environments (custom audits) and brand configurations independently, all within the limits of their contracts.

Core Problem

Agencies need to:

  • Manage multiple Profound instances within one organization.

  • Create and configure new brand environments quickly for pitches and client work.

  • Maintain clarity on their usage limits, credits, and subscription allocations.

Solution Overview

The new Agency Self-Serve Portal enables agencies to:

  • Create new brands/categories on demand.

  • Configure custom pitch environments (temporary audits).

  • Configure brand environments (long-term client setups).

  • View and manage usage and allocations across all brands.

Each environment respects the caps, limits, and expirations defined in the agency’s contract.

Feature Breakdown

1. Run Custom Audit (Pitch Environments)

Agencies can now create custom audits, designed for short-term pitches or trial engagements.

Key Capabilities

Create a new pitch environment directly from the self-serve portal. Set parameters such as:

  • Brand name

  • Industry

  • Regions

  • Topics

  • Competitors

  • Additional context (used for automatic prompt generation)

  • Automatic prompt generation tailored to the provided context.

  • Prompt editor review: Agencies can refine the generated prompts before launch.

  • Once finalized, the audit environment is created instantly and ready to use.

  • Each audit environment:

    • Has an expiration date (defined in the contract).

    • Is smaller and lighter-weight than full brand configurations.

  • Lifecycle actions

    • Extend Audit: Agencies can extend an audit by spending one audit credit.

    • Promote to Brand: Convert an audit to a full brand configuration, moving it under the agency’s brand subscription plan.

2. Create Brand Configurations

This option is for long-term brand environments, typically for clients who have purchased Profound as part of an annual contract.

Key Capabilities

  • Create a dedicated brand configuration through a guided form.

  • Configure:

    • Brand name

    • Industry

    • Regions

    • Topics

    • Competitors

    • Context for prompt generation

  • Review and edit automatically generated prompts.

  • Launch into a fully configured Profound instance for that brand.

  • All usage limits, caps, and contract terms are automatically applied.

3. View Usage Dashboard

Agencies gain full visibility into:

  • Current subscriptions and allocations

  • Audit activity (pitch environments)

  • Brand activity (long-term configurations)

Key Functions

  • Audits: All temporary environments, with expiration and extension options.

  • Brands: All active client configurations, including contract terms and renewal details.

  • Extend Button: Use audit credits to prolong an existing pitch environment.

  • Promote Button: Convert a pitch environment into a permanent brand configuration.
